We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to a team for our clients within the West Belfast Area. This encompass a few sites, notably Mourneview Court being the hub of the service, supporting up to 22 service users with a learning disability and/or Autism. Satellite services include, Dympna Mews, Owenvale and Falls Road, you will expected to work at one of these sites, and will be confirmed upon appointment.

Additionally you will support with a diverse range of disabilities, from minimal support to complex support, depending of the person centred care plan.

Duties

• Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with meal preparation and ensure their nutritional needs are met.
• Assist in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and well-being.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring environment.
• Administer first aid as necessary and assist with medication management under supervision.
• Engage in activities that stimulate cognitive function, particularly for clients with dementia care needs.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience in care/support setting or personal caring responsibilities
• Good communication skills both written and verbal, numeracy skills
• Working within a team
• 3 week rolling rota in place with 1 out of 3 weekends off
• Flexibility is required to fulfil the requirements of the role and rota
