Doctor Job Description

• Specialty: Consultant Psychiatrist - Learning Disabilities
• Location: Birmingham
• Pay Rate: £105,000 to £139,000 per annum

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disabilities to join a highly regarded service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and complex mental health needs in Birmingham.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Provide psychiatric assessment and management for adults with learning disabilities.
2. Collaborate with social care and community teams to provide holistic care.
3. Contribute to strategic service development and audit.
4. Lead on MHA duties and safeguard reviews as appropriate.

CESR support available for international candidates.

• Fully compliant and cleared to work (we can help with this)
• DBS/Police Check
• Full Registration with the General Medical Council
• MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
• Approved under section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983

Permanent applicants must be eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview.
