Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Ltd. in Leicester is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator to produce precision parts on turning machines, reading drawings, and ensuring tight tolerances.

You will program from drawings using Fanuc controllers, load existing programs, set tools and offsets, and verify first-offs. Experience with Haas machines and live tooling is advantageous; a NVQ/C&G apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferably apprentice trained C&G/NVQ.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and program.
• Have expert knowledge of Fanuc controller and G codes.
• Be able to set and operate machine tools (Haas).
• Have experience of live tooling (Ideally).
• Ideally have additional experience of CNC Milling (not essential).
• Be able to use a micrometer, callipers and other measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Working on CNC Turning Machines producing parts to tight tolerances.
• Programming from Drawings Online using Fanuc Controllers.
• Loading pre-existing programs and ensuring set ups are accurate and offsets.
• Ensure all tooling is correct and fit for purpose.
• Checking first offs ensuring batches are manufactured correctly.
• Ensuring all job cards and paperwork are completed per operation.
