Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Craighall Centre. The role offers secure, permanent employment with flexible hours (morning, daytime) to suit 10–36 hours per week, contributing to safe and clean learning and working environments across council buildings.

You will follow cleaning specifications, support duties across sites, and be prepared to join the PVG Scheme where required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean designated areas, including surfaces, floors, and fixtures.
• Empty litter and recycling bins and manage waste streams.
• Sanitize toilets, showers and washrooms; replenish supplies.
• Respond to cleaning needs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Operate cleaning equipment and adhere to safety standards.
• Support other buildings as needed to maintain standards.
