Experienced Children with Disabilities Social Worker - Permanent Role
Location: Knowsley Council, Merseyside
Salary: 41,511 - 42,708 per annum
Team: Children's Complex Needs Team
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Eden Brown Synergy is working in partnership with Knowsley Council to recruit an Experienced Social Worker for their Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people with disabilities.
  2. Undertake timely, holistic assessments under The Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families.
  3. Create and implement care plans reflecting the child's views, needs, and wishes.
  4. Manage a complex and varied caseload, delivering high-quality direct work with children.
  5. Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated support.
  6. Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports to a high standard.
  7. Provide informal supervision and guidance to newly qualified social workers and ASYE candidates.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to anti-oppressive practice and continuous professional development.
Essential Criteria:
  1. Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent qualification.
  2. Registration with Social Work England.
  3. Solid understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation relevant to children with disabilities.
  4. Experience working with children and families in statutory settings.
  5. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively and support multi-agency planning.
