Location: Knowsley Council, Merseyside
Salary: £41,511 - £42,708 per annum
Team: Children's Complex Needs Team
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Eden Brown Synergy is partnering with Knowsley Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker for their Children in Care and Care-Experienced People team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Managing a caseload of Looked After Children
  2. Undertaking Core Assessments
  3. Conducting Child Protection Enquiries
  4. Carrying out Viability, Kinship, Risk, and Regulation 38 Assessments
  5. Producing Annex B and Child Permanency Reports
  6. Preparing and implementing Care Plans
  7. Attending court and providing evidence as required
  8. Obtaining Interim and Final Care Orders, Supervision Orders, and Special Guardianship Orders
  9. Initiating and completing Care Proceedings
  10. Collaborating with partnership agencies to meet children’s needs
Essential Criteria
  • Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and legislation for children with disabilities
  • Experience working in statutory settings with children and families
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multi-agency environments
