Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a permanent Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist based in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

This role is at a Specialist Autism School working with ABA Therapies.

Position: Entry Level Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: Up to £40,000

Work with 130 pupils aged 4-16 years with complex needs related to Autism Spectrum Disorders in an innovative educational setting.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Art Therapists, aligning with the school's objectives, ethos, and teaching practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing your own clinical caseload
  • Participating in pupil referrals and therapy service optimization
  • Promoting continuous professional development
  • Advising families and teaching staff on speech, language, and communication development
  • Providing 1:1 and group therapy sessions

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in operational management within therapies
  • Deep commitment to inclusive education, ABA, and working with pupils with SEN and Autism
  • Excellent communication skills to mentor, coach, and inspire
  • Openness to learn ABA (training can be provided)
  • Experience working with non-verbal pupils and those with complex needs
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development
