- This service provides more than just housing; it offers a safe, inclusive environment, supporting young people to achieve independence, transition into independent living, and engage in employment or education.
- You will act as a key worker, motivating and empowering young people to reach their potential.
- Create support plans, help young people achieve their goals, and work collaboratively with a team that embraces diversity.
- Work in a psychologically informed way to support young people effectively.
- Enhance your relationship-building skills by working with local agencies such as the local authority, charities, education providers, probation, social services, and housing providers.
Requirements to be considered:
- Ability to engage with complex young people and build positive relationships with appropriate boundaries.
- A non-judgmental, positive mindset with understanding of issues like homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
- Resilience and a forward-thinking attitude to overcome challenges.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Experience in support work or housing, with knowledge of housing options, law, and benefits.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car.
*Additional payment of £79.20 for on-call shifts. Any voluntary or on-call shifts will be paid at relief rates, with relief pay per hour at £11.55 and sleepover at £155.70.
