Main duties of the job

The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver detailed plans for continued service developments in line with Brainkind's core aims and objectives linked to Brainkind's Strategic Plan, including managing budgets.

To support existing Service Managers to meet the quality requirements and cover the Service Manager role should the need arise.

This role is to cover all the North of England - Hybrid Working and visiting Services.

Job responsibilities

The main tasks and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands on management support and guidance, managing staff activities and influencing their practices and attitudes.
  • Assume line management responsibilities for the team and lead clinicians where appropriate, to provide operational support and direction.
  • Take overall responsibility for recruitment, employment and working practices, complying with Employment Law and contractual obligations.
  • Be an active member of the Operations Group and take on additional defined responsibilities as required.
  • Take a lead role in the provision of service review and development, ensuring reports are of a professional standard and collated in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to ensure your team remains motivated.
  • Undertake other project and change activities as directed, whilst ensuring immediate needs are continually balanced with the longer-term vision.

Person Specification
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Nursing qualification with up to 5 years post qualification experience.
  • QCF (NVQ) level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification in Social Care/Health which meet Regulatory Requirements or a commitment to work towards.
  • Proven track record of at least 5-year experience in managing Supported Living Services, Homecare Agencies and Housing legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to manage change and support staff teams to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Experience of managing budgets and financial systems.
  • Ability to prioritise the workload to meet specified deadlines.
  • Ability to fulfil the travelling requirements of the post including attending training/meetings and occasional overnight stays.
