Dorset Travel coordinate the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Child Care as well as Adults

A Peripatetic Passenger Assistant living in the Blandford area is required contracted at 20 hours per week - Term Time Only commencing at £13.05 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs providing assistance/support in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school.

This vacancy is for a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant from the Blandford area to cover Regular Passenger Assistant absence. There is a requirement to travel if required.

Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times.

• Recognition of a hazard and how to report.

You must be physically fit with the ability to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry and kneel to provide the care required for the position of a Passenger Assistant.
