We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Practitioner to work in the newly developed Perinatal Pelvic Health service (PPHS) team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
As part of the national establishment of Perinatal Pelvic Health Services to improve and transform postnatal care, the post holder will contribute to the care of women and birthing people in Leeds and its surrounding area. The post holder will work alongside an Advanced Pelvic Health Physiotherapy practitioner and a Senior Physiotherapist in the PPHS team to support perinatal patients during pregnancy and with their physical recovery post birth. Physiotherapy input includes outpatient, inpatient, and group sessions. The caseload is varied and requires a sensitive, empathetic approach.
The successful applicant will demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. They should be motivated to support the development of the PPHS service in Leeds.

The successful candidate will support clinical staff within the PPHS and Urogynaecology Physiotherapy teams, providing clinical, administrative, and support work, and delivering care to perinatal patients across various settings. They will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and be supported by senior physiotherapists and specialists. The role involves managing a caseload independently, including screening and delivering prescribed treatments, with on-the-job training provided.

The new PPHS service complements existing services to deliver outstanding care for women in Leeds.
