An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Midwife with a specialist interest in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health to join the Bridge Team. Perinatal Mental Health remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the perinatal period, with mental health problems affecting 1 in 4 women in the perinatal period. As Perinatal Mental Health Midwife you will take a key role in advocating for parents with perinatal mental health difficulties to ensure they receive effective care. This will involve liaison with specialist and voluntary services and require excellent communication skills. You should have an understanding of mental health conditions that can impact the maternity journey, be dynamic, well organised and an innovative practitioner with a passion for community based perinatal mental health care.
