Job summary

A regional healthcare trust located in Doncaster seeks a dedicated individual to support the equality and inclusion agenda within their perinatal mental health services. RDaSH Promise 8: Research, create and deliver five impactful changes to inequalities faced by our population in accessing and benefitting from our autism, learning disability and mental health services as part of our wider drive to tackle inequality (the RDaSH 5).

The post holder will be responsible for delivering, developing and supporting the equality and inclusion agenda as part of the Trust Perinatal mental health services. This will include a key role in supporting and developing mechanisms for service users, families and carers to influence and have a say in development of the services.

The main hours of working will be flexible between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, dependent on engagement events that are taking place, there will be occasions when the post holder will be required to adjust their working hours so that they can support the event.

Main duties
  • To support and assist in the involvement of mothers and birthing parents to be, and their families/carers, who are engaged in services delivered by the Perinatal mental health services, supporting the Trust's Patient and Public Engagement and Experience Strategyand Promise 8.
  • To develop relationships with stakeholders in the local community to reach, identify and engage with individuals and diverse groups to develop tailored ways of improving access to perinatal services.
  • To consolidate and develop information received from patient feedback and provide this in a way that will assist management in the development of a patient and carer informed service.
  • To engage with local service users and carer groups working across Rotherham and Doncaster.

Qualifications
  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths Grade 4 and above or equivalent Or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Community Development or equivalent

  • Demonstrable experience of digital and social media platforms
