The post holder will understand child development stages, assist when difficulties arise, and empower families to be confident in their parenting. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying their skills and knowledge to support and advise mothers across all aspects of caring for their babies.

Responsibilities include providing services to women experiencing perinatal mental health issues and their families, as delegated by the Perinatal Lead, and participating in intervention delivery under their guidance.

The role involves working in partnership with families, primarily delivering interventions in community settings, often in the woman's home, and supporting women during hospital admissions or discharges from Mother and Baby Units.
