Join an established team with over 12 years of experience providing specialist mental health treatment to women experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate professionals to immerse themselves in our Perinatal Services.

We are a friendly, motivated team committed to your development. We offer fully funded specialist training, support, and supervision within a high-performing multidisciplinary environment. The Community Perinatal Mental Health Team covers the entire Dorset area, with main offices in Dorchester (Forston Clinic) and Bournemouth (Alumhurst Road). This position specifically covers the EAST of Dorset.

The practitioner will provide care for women with moderate to severe mental health issues during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum, working across inpatient and community outreach settings.

You will participate in developing a high-quality, innovative service for women, their babies, and partners, involving assessment, treatment, monitoring, individual and group work, and therapeutic interventions.

This role involves liaising with local CMHTs, Child & Family Social Services, Health Visitors, and other professionals. You will work closely with the Service Team Leader to manage daily operations, staffing, referrals, and workload allocation.

At Dorset HealthCare, we aim to empower people through outstanding healthcare services. Rated 'outstanding' by CQC in 2019, we serve a population of nearly 800,000, with a diverse range of community and mental health services.
