We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Perinatal Practitioner to work with the Dorset Perinatal Community Mental Health service. We welcome applications from professionals with registration in disciplines such as Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.

The Community Perinatal Mental Health Team covers the entire Dorset area, with main offices in Dorchester (Forston Clinic) and Bournemouth (Alumhurst Road). This position specifically covers the EAST of Dorset.
The practitioner will provide care for women with moderate to severe mental health issues during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum, working across inpatient and community outreach settings.
You will participate in developing a high-quality, innovative service for women, their babies, and partners, involving assessment, treatment, monitoring, individual and group work, and therapeutic interventions.
This role involves liaising with local CMHTs, Child & Family Social Services, Health Visitors, and other professionals. You will work closely with the Service Team Leader to manage daily operations, staffing, referrals, and workload allocation.
