Teacher of Performing Arts (11-18) – All Through Academy School

Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a thriving all-through academy school? We are seeking a talented individual to join our vibrant client school in Haringey, where creativity, ambition, and excellence are at the heart of everything they do.

About the Role – Teacher of Performing Arts:

As a Teacher of Performing Arts, you will play a crucial role in inspiring students across all key stages, fostering a love for drama, music, and performance. You will be joining a supportive and dynamic department that values innovative teaching, high expectations, and engaging learning experiences.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic Performing Arts Teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and expertise to the curriculum while supporting students in developing their confidence, teamwork, and artistic skills.

Key Responsibilities – Teacher of Performing Arts:

· Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Performing Arts across KS3-KS5

· Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in drama, music, and performance

· Plan and implement a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring all students can access and enjoy Performing Arts

· Support and contribute to school productions, concerts, and extracurricular activities

· Assess and monitor student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention when needed, as both a teacher and form tutor

· Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and participation, fostering a positive learning environment

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Performing Arts provision and develop cross-curricular opportunities

What We Are Looking For – Performing Arts Teacher:

· UK QTS is essential, as well as a relevant degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or a related field

· A strong track record of excellent teaching, or for ECTs, evidence of outstanding potential

· Passion for the subject and a commitment to developing students’ creative talents

· Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and challenge students of all abilities

· Understand and demonstrate the theory and practice of effective teaching, promoting high expectations throughout

· A team player who is eager to collaborate, share ideas, and contribute to the wider school community

· An innovative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning, with an understanding of the importance of equality of education
