What you'll be doing

•Implement and manage the end-to-end performance cycle, ensuring integration with strategy, reward, and other key areas to enhance BT’s performance, inclusion, and organisational effectiveness.
•Execute and continuously improve the performance management cycle to drive sharper delivery and better outcomes.
•Collaborate with the Talent Centre of Excellence to align with and implement the agreed talent strategy, focusing on outcomes across all colleague levels—including succession planning, mobility, readiness, and skills development.
•Ensure the effective implementation of BT’s assessment methodology for talent and role evaluation, enabling inclusive, data-driven decision-making.
•Lead and mentor People & Culture team members involved in performance and talent, providing guidance and support.
•Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies related to performance and talent management.
•Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate the impact of performance and talent initiatives.
•Provide training and support to HR colleagues and stakeholders on HR systems, enhancing capability in performance and talent processes.

The skills you'll need to succeed

•Proven experience implementing and managing end-to-end performance strategies aligned with organisational goals and integrated with key business touchpoints.
•Demonstrated ability to execute, improve, and refine performance management cycles to support continuous improvement and stronger delivery.
•Extensive experience collaborating with stakeholders, including the Talent Centre of Excellence, to drive the implementation of talent strategies.
•Strong track record in managing talent outcomes across all organisational levels, including succession planning, mobility, readiness, and skills development.
•Expertise in implementing assessment methodologies for recruitment, talent identification, and role evaluation, with a focus on inclusivity and data-driven decisions.
•Proven leadership in guiding and mentoring teams, fostering a culture of excellence and ongoing improvement.
•In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and internal policies to ensure compliance in performance and talent management.
•Skilled in developing and maintaining reporting tools to track and communicate the effectiveness of talent and performance initiatives.
•Experience designing and delivering training and support programs to build capability in managers and employees.
