Job Title: Performance Marketing Manager - Accountants (Fixed Term Contract)
Job Description: The Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for the in-life marketing strategy and plan to drive engagement, activation, cross-sell/upsell, and ARR, ensuring optimization of both self-serve and hybrid routes to market to increase LTV. This role is critical for the Accountants business and central to the demand plan.
Location: 3 days per week from our Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the in-life marketing strategy and plan aligned with the product roadmap, accountant seasonality, and KPIs, including engagement, loyalty, surprise & delight, cross-sell & upsell, onboarding.
- Drive engagement, usage, and add-ons within Sage for Accountants and standalone brands, leveraging marketing technology, data, and journey optimizations to develop personalized targeted communications and campaigns.
- Lead the sub-team for in-life marketing, including a Campaign Manager and Marketing Apprentice.
- Be accountable for in-life activities within the Accountant Squad, reporting on performance, optimizing activities, and working with the squad to improve performance.
- Coordinate automated email activities considering different customer segments and contact strategies.
- Manage all communications to existing accountants and bookkeepers, including segmented newsletters and notifications, ensuring high standards and internal approval.
- Oversee the accountant advocacy workstream to increase revenue per accountant.
- Develop content for existing customers in collaboration with Product Marketing and Sales.
- Manage team data, including segmentation and briefing, to maximize opportunities.
- Monitor and report on campaign metrics, optimize activities through testing.
- Manage budgets, costs, and forecasting for activities and activations.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in developing marketing plans with measurable outcomes.
- Proven success in driving engagement and ARR through personalized, targeted, in-product journeys leveraging martech.
- End-to-end campaign planning and execution experience, preferably in large organizations.
- Ability to transform core messages for suitable audiences.
- Strong commercial acumen, budget management, and ability to meet KPIs, revenue, and ROI targets.
- Collaborative skills across multiple teams in a GTM environment.
- Proficiency in English, verbal and written.
- Influencing and presentation skills.
