Location: Liphook (Office-Based)

Compensation: £40,000 - £50,000 / year

Description

Salary: £40000-£50000 Depends on experience

Job Type:Full Time, permanent role

Location: Liphook, Hampshire

Rocksteady Music School is the UK’s largest rock and pop school. We teach fun and inclusive in-school band lessons to primary age children. Our mission is simple: to amplify children’s self-belief and remove barriers to music education. We’re currently in thousands of schools in the UK, teaching over 120K children every week, and recently launched in Australia – and we’re growing fast.

Our offices in Liphook and Birmingham are home to many of our central office teams. From there, we all play our part in supporting our band leaders to reach as many children as possible with their lessons. That’s what gets us out of bed in the morning!

We’re now looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to join our Growth Marketing team to own the performance marketing engine across LinkedIn, Google, Meta, YouTube and Video-on-demand networks — building the audience intelligence, creative testing discipline, and attribution rigour that makes every pound of paid spend directly accountable to qualified B2B and B2E pipeline for Rocksteady.

As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will:
  • Build, manage, and optimise all paid campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Google and YouTube channels - covering both the demand creation programmes and the demand capture campaigns.
  • Manage separate campaign structures for B2B school growth and employer brand recruitment - ensuring audience targeting, creative, messaging, and budget allocation are correctly separated, and each programme is optimised against its own distinct pipeline or application objective.
  • Provide evidence-based briefs to design and comms teams - to enable volume and quality of creative across channels to optimise all campaigns.
  • Own the paid media budget — allocating spend across platforms, audiences, and campaign objectives based on pipeline performance data, tracking pacing against monthly and termly targets.
  • Report media and budget performance to senior stakeholders weekly — presenting spend, pipeline contribution, and efficiency metrics and making specific recommendations on where to increase or reduce investment.
  • Run a structured creative and messaging test programme - collaborate with the Growth Operations Manager to build a continuously growing body of evidence about what messaging and creative effectiveness.
  • Own tracking, attribution, and data integrity for all paid channels – working closely with Growth Ops Manager ensure all paid campaigns across all three platforms are correctly tracked with UTMs, conversion pixels, and CRM integration.
  • Agency or 3rd party management – experience using third parties to execute in platform scheduling, bidding and tactical delivery.
  • Support and deliver ABM strategy on paid channels - build and run account-based paid campaigns against named school and trust targets
  • Stay ahead of platform developments - monitor algorithm updates, policy changes, new ad formats, AI-driven bidding innovations, and privacy changes across LinkedIn, Google, and Meta.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment -balancing a commitment to high standards with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across teams, remaining curious, adaptable, and responsive to the changing needs of the business
As a Performance Marketing Manager, you'll need:
  • Strong experience in paid media and performance marketing roles
  • Proven hands‑on platform expertise across Meta as a primary paid channel.
  • Strong level of experience of managing campaigns across channels such as LinkedIn, Google and You Tube.
  • Background of in-platform delivery with experience using third parties to execute in platform scheduling, bidding and tactical delivery.
  • B2B demand generation and pipeline-focused marketing experience.
  • An understanding of SEO/AEO is desirable.
  • Sound working knowledge of UTM governance, conversion pixel installation and management
  • Experience working on both lead generation and demand generation campaigns.
  • ABM campaign experience a bonus.
  • Values-driven and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a mission‑led organisation.
  • Passion for education and/or music a bonus!

We appreciate that previous experience does not always tell the full story so if you like the sound of this role, don’t rule yourself out if you feel you don’t tick all the boxes.

Benefits
  • 35 hour working week
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Long service awards including an additional 4 weeks’ pay after 5 years
  • Free onsite parking
  • Personal development opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits package including discounts on everyday purchases, free 24/7 GP service.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Celebratory staff away‑days, Christmas parties and social events.
  • Opportunities to work with the Rocksteady Foundation, reaching children and young people in charities and support groups across the UK.

Every once in a while, you get the chance to be part of something really special. When you join Rocksteady, you know immediately that you’ve found it. We might be growing fast but we pay special attention to protecting our unique working culture and ensuring everyone feels comfortable to be themselves at work. We look out for each other, welcome new colleagues as friends and stay true to our small‑company roots; rolling up our sleeves if a job needs doing, solving problems together and, most importantly, always putting the children first. Likeminded people are joining us and we’re reaching more and more children with our lessons every week. We keep growing because we’re driven by our passion for the life‑changing nature of music.

Join us and use your skills for good.
