PERFORMANCE MANAGER WANTED

*Previous experience in the management of financial advisors is a prerequisite for this role

Salary - £100-120k + Bonus

Cardiff (3 days in-office) | 2 days remote | Up to £100k + £20-30k Bonus

We’ve just landed an incredible opportunity with one of our major clients — a prestigious and well-established financial advice firm — and they’re looking for a Performance Manager to lead from the front and help shape the future of their newest regional hub.

The Role:

This is a non- earning leadership role focused on managing, mentoring, and growing a team of 15 Financial Advisers and 15 support staff, with ambitions to expand across the region. You'll be the go-to person for performance, development, and professional standards across a key geographical area — spanning Bridgend, Pontypool, Chepstow, Hereford, Aberystwyth, and eventually Bristol. You’ll be based in North East Cardiff 3 days a week, working from their brand-new office (set to open by December), with 2 days from home.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading a growing team of high-performing IFAs and support staff
  • Driving recruitment, performance reviews, appraisals, and 1-2-1s
  • Building professional connections across the region
  • Supporting growth and advisor development without the pressure of client fees
  • Helping shape the expansion into Aberystwyth and the Bristol market

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (essential)
  • Previous experience managing IFAs, with a track record of leadership success
  • Proven experience in:
  • Recruitment
  • Staff appraisals
  • Performance reviews
  • Disciplinaries
  • Monthly 1-2-1s with advisers
  • Happy to be office-based in Cardiff 3 days a week
  • Strategic, growth-minded, and confident building external partnerships
