Job description

Brinsworth and Whiston medical Centre are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Performance Manager to join our friendly team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and reporting both clinical and non-clinical data. Your work will help make sure the practice meets important quality targets and NHS standards.

You'll work closely with doctors, nurses, managers, and other team members to develop systems that support the needs of a busy, modern GP practice.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and submitting claims (such as PPA, CQRS, PCN activities, and Local Enhanced Services) on time

Keeping accurate records of all claimable activities

Producing reports on how the practice is performing and meeting quality standards.

Support planning and tracking of key services like QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework) and other NHS targets.

Work with the Reception Manager to help manage clinical IT systems and sort out any basic computer issues.

Team up with the nursing staff to monitor how well the practice is doing against key performance goals.

Help manage systems that remind patients about check-ups, vaccinations, and reviews.

Keep patient records up to date, especially for those with long-term conditions.

Attend staff meetings and training sessions.

Monthly updates with the Practice Manager about how the practice is performing i.e. complaints - QOF performance - seasonal campaigns

Plan and manage rotas for clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Help create templates and systems to make it easier to collect and monitor performance data.

Support a positive team culture focused on patient care and continuous improvement.

Help manage complaints and reviews of any incidents or concerns.

Contribute to practice policies and quality improvement initiatives.

Be willing to work across multiple practice sites.

Take on other reasonable tasks as requested by the Practice Manager.

Job responsibilities

Brinsworth & Whiston Medical Centre is looking to recruit a permanent Performance Manager to join our Management Team. This is a part-time role, working 24 hours per week over four days. The ideal candidate should have a minimum level of experience using SystmOne and rota planning. Training will be provided for all other aspects of the role.
