Performance Manager

Location: Brighton

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Performance Manager to join Southern Water, a Galliford Try business. The Performance Manager will ensure compliance with the Framework Key Performance Indicators of the Southern Framework.

  • Lead by example to promote high standards of HS&E&Q at all times
  • Collaborate with the HS&E team to foster positive cultures and behaviors
  • Build relationships with the supply chain to ensure understanding and exceeding of KPIs
  • Encourage strategic thinking for developing new approaches and solving problems to improve KPI performance
  • Provide leadership and promote professional standards and best practices across functions
  • Support other functional leaders to develop best practices and continuous improvement in project delivery
  • Align delivery with the Client’s vision
  • Build trust with clients, customers, and stakeholders, acting on feedback as needed
  • Promote innovation for operational efficiencies
  • Provide training and guidance to ensure KPI targets are met
  • Manage resources and relationships for efficient KPI delivery
  • Ensure standards are achieved through KPI analysis and improvement plans
  • Work closely with Heads of Delivery/Operational Leaders

About You:

  • Proven staff development and employee relations skills
  • Strategic planning and change management abilities
  • Strong HS&E&Q performance record
  • Experience in engineering construction is advantageous
  • Accountability for business unit performance
  • Effective facilitation of team and client meetings
  • Timely issue resolution or escalation
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions and support outcomes
  • Degree qualification preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
