Performance Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Manager to join a successful, high-performing team in Water Production.

This high-profile role involves overseeing the day-to-day operation of Thames Water's largest Water Production Treatment works. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of operatives and manage a main treatment process for producing clean drinking water for London.

The role requires safely achieving specific operational outputs to standards, within budget and deadlines.

Key Details

1. Location: Ashford Common - TW15 1RU & Kempton Park - TW13 6XH
2. Hours: Monday-Friday, 07:30 - 15:36, 36 hours/week, plus a call-out rota every 6 weeks with additional pay
3. Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Control and audit site activity, ensuring safety and compliance with Health & Safety policies
• Manage a team of Slow Sand Filter Operators and a Working Supervisor to meet targets
• Enhance customer experience and optimize service delivery
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Ensure production plans and service agreements are met
• Coordinate with the Technical team for asset availability and maintenance
• Manage budgets and costs to meet financial targets without compromising quality
• Maintain operability of mobile plant, including certification and fault diagnosis
• Participate in out-of-hours management roster if required

Candidate Requirements

• Experience managing and supporting a team, with ability to develop staff
• Water industry experience and knowledge of the clean water process are advantageous but not essential
• Experience with mobile plant operation is beneficial
• Strong communication, organizational, and workload management skills
• Ability to present findings and liaise with managers at all levels
• Background in process management, operations, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement, and customer focus
• Valid UK driving license
