Job description
Overview

The South London Mental Health and Community Partnership (SLP) is a collaboration between Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, Oxleas, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, SLaM, and South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLSTG). The partnership delivers mental health services to a population of more than three million people and aims to improve quality, use resources effectively, and deliver best practice consistently to all patients. The SLP includes services across 12 London boroughs and involves the Adult Secure Provider Collaborative, Liaison and Diversion, and Men’s MHTR services. Services are provided in London Police Custody suites, Magistrates and Crown Courts, and some community settings.

North London Provider Collaborative also delivers Liaison and Diversion and Men’s MHTR in its area, with a focus on sharing best practice and integrated working for a one London approach. Oxleas, on behalf of the SLP, holds a contract with Waythrough to deliver Community Link Workers and Peer Mentor Services as part of L&D and MHTR for men.

Role purpose and service context

The L&D service intervenes at the earliest opportunity when an individual comes into contact with the Criminal Justice System (CJS), typically starting at police contact to identify potential vulnerabilities. The model follows four phases: case identification, screening, assessment, and onward referral. The Primary Men’s MHTR service operates within a clinically focused framework and is structured into nine phases: identification, eligibility check and screening, practitioner assessment, consent, clinical lead approval, sentence, post-sentence case management, intervention and joint case management, and intervention completion.

Responsibilities

To support the Business Management Team and Directorate Management Team in delivering the Directorate\'s core business. The post holder will use management information to strengthen business planning and ensure delivery of strategic and service priorities. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and reporting on Trust-wide and local performance indicators; working with Informatics, BI and Clinical colleagues.
  • Leading workstreams to improve data quality and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Co-ordination of the business planning process, including annual planning and Local Delivery Plan (LDP).

  • Developing complex project plans for service developments.
