We are seeking 2 Analysts to join our Portfolio Management Performance & Insights team, either in the Performance or Reporting team.
You will provide visibility of the Capital Programme, measuring delivery against targets for time, cost, and carbon intensity. You will produce reports and support stakeholders, including Project Managers, Directors, and Scottish Water directorates.
If in the Performance Team, your focus will be on data visualisation, creating Power BI reports for presentations. You will spend significant time using Power BI and Excel, sharing a passion for tools like VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Progression involves greater participation in meetings and performance discussions.
If in the Reporting Team, your role will be more technical, requiring knowledge of databases, Power BI, SQL, and/or DAX. Knowledge of other programming languages is beneficial.
All roles may involve regulatory and external work, producing board reports and liaising with WICS, requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills in visual, verbal, and written forms are essential. You should be able to simplify complex analysis, add value to reports, and bring innovative ideas.
Strong root cause analysis skills, enthusiasm for data improvement projects, and a proactive approach to technology are important.
Good time management and prioritisation skills are necessary, along with proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Power BI.

This role is Grade 6, with a starting salary of £33,560, progressing to £44,140. In November 2024, the workweek reduces to 35 hours to support wellbeing. The role is mainly remote, with possible office travel.
