Job description

Performance & Insight Analyst – Contract (Remote)
£35.50 p/h | Inside IR35 | 3 Months | Umbrella Only

We’re hiring for a Performance & Insight Analyst to support a well-known organisation with data analysis, reporting, and visualisation. This is almost a fully remote role but there may be an expectation to spend some time on site in London (or Cardiff) in the initial stages for hand over purposes (this will be expesed by the client)

You will be working on a project centred around balloting and voting data—making sense of large datasets and presenting clear, actionable insight to the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyse and interpret a wide range of campaign and voting data

  • Build and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI

  • Work with SQL to extract and prepare data from large databases

  • Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Help shape how data is captured, stored, and used by the wider team

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modelling

  • Confident with SQL for querying and joining datasets

  • Comfortable working with messy or incomplete data

  • Experience in data storytelling and presenting complex findings

  • Someone who’s worked in academia, public policy, research or consultancy would be a strong match

Nice to have:

  • Python or R for data analysis or automation

  • Background in social science or behavioural research

  • Experience building dashboards for senior leadership

Other info:

  • £35.50 per hour (umbrella only – We don't have any wiggle room on this rate I'm afraid)

  • ASAP start

This is a low-hassle, high-impact role – ideal for someone between projects or looking for meaningful work with a great team.
