Performance Improvement Manager

Location: Knockbracken Healthcare park Belfast
Salary: £27.49 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Contract: Temporary

MPA Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) for a Performance Improvement Manager. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity within the Planning, Performance & Corporate Services Directorate, aimed at delivering strategic performance enhancement and service transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee organisational performance monitoring and improvement across the Trust
  • Develop KPIs and implement robust performance improvement strategies
  • Analyse complex data sets to drive patient-focused improvements
  • Lead service transformation initiatives and recovery plans
  • Engage with senior leadership, trade unions, and external stakeholders to optimise performance outcomes
  • Support governance, risk management, and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Represent NIAS at regional and national forums
Essential Criteria:
  • A relevant degree or recognised professional qualification and 3+ years’ experience in performance improvement (preferably in healthcare)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, SQL)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to drive measurable outcomes
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments apply for applicants with disabilities)
