A motorsport engineering team in Edinburgh is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to manage driving and car performance. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, a strong background in vehicle dynamics, and must be fluent in English. Qualifications

Job Description:

We are building something special at Alpine Endurance Team.

As part of the Alpine long-term plan to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), we are looking to expand our talented team with individuals motivated to contribute significantly to our pursuit of excellence.

Within the Trackside Engineering Team, we have a rare opportunity for a Senior Performance Engineer.

Performance Engineer - The Role

Reporting to the Head of Trackside Engineering, the Driver & Performance Engineer will manage all activities related to driving and car performance. This includes driver analysis, car performance analysis (mainly chassis-related), and vehicle system performance.

Performance Engineer - The Person

The successful candidate will hold an engineering or relevant degree and have a strong understanding of driving analysis using various tools, reports, and vehicle dynamics & system knowledge for performance analysis.

In addition, they will possess:

  • Good knowledge of software used within Alpine Endurance Team, such as HHDM, HH Timing, MM Wintax & Sysma, MATLAB, Canopy (advantageous)
  • At least 3 years of experience in this role
  • Endurance trackside experience (WEC/ELMS/Asian LMS/Formula 1/Formula E, etc.) is highly recommended
  • Knowledge of LMP-style cars is essential
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
