Edinburgh University Men’s Hockey Club are seeking an enthusiastic, driven individual to coach their Performance Development Squad within its Hockey Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a group of talented athletes playing in BUCS Scotland 1 & 2, and Scottish Hockey Regional League 1 & 2, as well as BUCS and District Cups.
Applicants should have experience in playing or coaching hockey to a high level as well as
good player management skills. Applicants should be dedicated and able to promote and solidify high standards within the squad. Coaching applicants must have obtained a Scottish Hockey Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent) and have a real desire for the personal development of athletes in a performance development environment.
This part time role will include leading two training sessions per week (planned by the Head of Performance Hockey, Neil Allan), assisted by an Assistant Coach, as well as being the match day lead for the majority of the 2XI’s Scottish Hockey (Saturdays; Regional League 1) and BUCS (Wednesdays; Scotland 1) where available.
