Kitman Labs Ltd. in Manchester is hiring a Mid-Level Data Engineer to evolve their data platform. Your role will encompass building and maintaining data models, developing robust data pipelines, and supporting Data Scientists for production ML workloads.

You will work on a GCP-native stack including BigQuery and Dataform. Ideal candidates should be SQL proficient, have hands-on experience with GCP, and enjoy collaborative problem-solving.

This position allows for remote work with occasional onsite gatherings.

Qualifications

• Comfortable writing complex, performant SQL queries against large datasets.
• Strong experience with Dataform or willingness to work in it.
• Hands-on experience with GCP tools, especially BigQuery.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Cloud Composer or Airflow.
• Understanding of dimensional modelling and medallion architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain BigQuery data models and dashboards.
• Contribute to robust data pipelines using Python.
• Support Data Scientists in productionizing ML workloads.
• Implement data quality checks and observability practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data projects.
