Norwich Swan Swimming Club in Norfolk is looking for a Performance Coach with a proven track record to complement our existing experienced coaching team for a September start.

We are a vibrant and fast-growing competitive club producing County, Regional and National medallists.Our team finished second in the East Midlands Arena League Division 1 and qualified for the B final in Cardiff in March 2025.

We have almost 600 swimmers in our squads, and a thriving Learn to Swim programme. We pride ourselves on excellent links with other clubs in Norfolk and the surrounding areas.

Norwich Swan has an inclusive approach to swimming, and our ethos is to be a friendly club with a passion for inspiring and developing every swimmer to achieve their full potential, whatever that may look like.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated coach, who is passionate about swimming, with drive, ambition and excellent interpersonal skills, who can build good rapport with their swimmers, the existing Swan coaching team and club members.

You will play a crucial role in shaping young swimmers into thriving competitive athletes while fostering a love for the sport, nurturing talent, and promoting the values that define our success.

You will have opportunities to coach our Age Group and/or Youth Performance squads depending on your experience and personal development goals.

Details:

  • Applicants should hold the Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach Award or a Swim England Senior Swimming Coach Certificate/Level 3 Award.
  • Hours and responsibilities are to be decided, depending on applicant skills and experience - flexibility is required to include early morning training and weekend attendance at galas both at home and away.
  • Pay is circa £22-27K, dependent on experience. This is on a self-employed basis, with the right to work in the UK required.
  • Locations at pools in Norwich and Wymondham
  • Applicants are expected to have, or be willing to undertake prior to starting, NRASTAC qualification (this can be arranged through the club), Swim England Safeguarding in Aquatics certificate and an enhanced DBS check.
  • Sound administration and organisational skills are essential - we use Team Unify, standard office programmes, and Google Drive.
