This role is a pivotal role improving energy performance, operational efficiency, and service delivery across a portfolio of contracts. The role provides an important link between data, reporting, customer outcomes, and operational decision‑making.

This is an exciting opportunity for a data‑driven analyst to turn complex energy and operational data into actionable insights. Through performance analysis and reporting, you'll identify opportunities, manage risks, and support smarter decisions that improve service delivery, efficiency and contract performance.

Key Accountabilities
  • Produce accurate, high quality monthly customer and management performance reports across a portfolio of energy performance contracts, turning operational data into clear, useful insight.
  • Analyse energy, asset and operational performance data to identify trends, variances, risks, opportunities and emerging issues that require operational attention.
  • Provide data‑driven recommendations that support performance improvement, efficiency, contractual compliance and customer‑facing decision making.
  • Develop, maintain and improve reporting tools, dashboards, datasets and analytical models to support operational teams, customers and management reporting requirements.
  • Support the adoption of reporting and analytical technologies, including Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, advanced Excel and other digital tools that improve reporting quality and efficiency.
  • Investigate performance anomalies, interrogate data sources and work with operational teams to understand root causes, corrective actions and potential improvement plans.
  • Liaise with Operations, Finance, Technical, QS and Projects teams to reconcile information, validate performance narratives and ensure a joined‑up message to customers and the business.
  • Maintain strong discipline around contractual reporting calendars, data submissions and internal deadlines, ensuring reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing reporting processes, identifying automation opportunities and helping the team work smarter with data.
  • Work in line with company values, processes, procedures and designated systems, ensuring all activity is carried out safely and supports business delivery and growth.
  • Carry out other duties at the discretion of the line manager, consistent with the nature, responsibilities and requirements of the role.
  • Promote and comply with the Company’s policies on equality and health and safety in both service delivery and the treatment of others.
  • Engage with the line manager in reviewing performance, identifying strengths and development areas, and undertaking training required to grow within the role.

A flexible approach to working practices and hours to meet the needs of the role.

Education / Qualifications
  • Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent qualification preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
  • A qualification or strong interest in a numerical, analytical, engineering, energy, sustainability, data or performance-related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Graduates, trainees or apprentices with strong analytical curiosity, attention to detail and a willingness to learn will be considered.
Core/ Technical/ Safety Competencies
  • Experience using Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, advanced Excel, automation, coding or other reporting and analytical tools.
  • Exposure to energy performance, sustainability, green technology, large scale plant, building services or operational engineering environments.
  • Understanding of plant efficiency monitoring, KPI reporting, measurement processes or performance improvement frameworks.
  • Experience building, cleaning or maintaining large datasets and using them to support trend analysis, dashboards, summaries and management reporting.
  • Gather, validate and analyse information from a range of operational, financial and technical sources to identify issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting updates within designated business systems.
