Are you a forward-thinking individual dedicated to excellence, growth, and innovation? Would you like to make a difference in how we deliver forensic mental health care in the NHS?

We are recruiting a Performance and Business Manager to join us at Kennet Ward, based at our Littlemore Mental Health Centre in Oxford. The role involves developing and facilitating the local performance framework, ensuring timely and accurate data collection and submission.

Kennet Ward is a 16-bed medium secure ward located in the Oxford Clinic, offering services to individuals suffering from enduring mental illness. You will coordinate secretarial and administrative support to the ward, drive the local performance framework, monitor KPIs, and ensure operational efficiency. Additionally, you will support Ward Managers and Matrons in routine staff management, including sickness, annual leave, training, and performance management.

If this aligns with your expertise and you want to join a supportive, high-performing team, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities include:
  1. Producing, analyzing, and presenting routine and ad hoc performance and business reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  2. Developing regular data quality audits and collaborating with Workforce colleagues to address issues for continuous improvement.
  3. Monitoring KPIs rigorously and flagging issues early to senior managers.
  4. Building the electronic ward rota for nursing staff, considering skill mix, requests, training, and flexible working.
  5. Analyzing budget hotspots/trends related to rota and resources, and working with the ward manager to implement mitigation strategies.
  6. Overseeing annual leave and time-owing practices, identifying patterns, and escalating concerns.
  7. Line managing the ward administrator to ensure effective administrative support.
