About the Role
We’re looking for a Performance Analyst to join one of our projects for a public sector client.
In this role, you’ll help teams across the department make data-driven decisions, measure performance, and improve services for millions of users.
As a Performance Analyst, you will work with service and product teams to define meaningful metrics, evaluate service performance, and provide insights supporting continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain performance frameworks and dashboards to track KPIs across digital and operational services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including product managers, service designers, user researchers, and developers to support service improvements through data.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
- Establish and embed performance measurement approaches within services.
- Apply tools and techniques such as A/B testing, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure data quality and work with data engineers and scientists as needed.
- Promote a data-driven culture and best practices.
- Present findings to stakeholders at all levels, from operational staff to senior leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and measure performance.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, Excel, R or Python, and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working in agile environments, ideally in the public sector or large organizations.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders through data storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with GDS service standards and performance frameworks is desirable.
Desirable Experience
- Understanding of user-centered design, digital transformation, or service delivery within government.
- Previous experience in the public sector.
- Experience leading performance reviews, service assessments, or continuous improvement projects.
