Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Clifton Springs is seeking an Off-Shift Director to oversee RN/LPN/CNA staff within a busy long‑term care unit, driving clinical leadership and ensuring quality care for residents.

You will collaborate with the nurse manager, rehab unit, and hospital partners to coordinate care, manage staff development, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance on a per diem schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• One to three years of nursing experience.
• Registered in NYS as a registered nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
• Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed.
• Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.
• Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated.
• Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan.
• Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration.
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records.
• Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.
