People & Training Manager - Wingmans Restaurant Group
Starting Salary: £40K per annum + performance bonuses
Job Summary:
The People & Training Manager is responsible for attracting, hiring, onboarding, and developing top talent within our restaurant group. This role ensures that our team members are engaged, well-trained and aligned with our company culture and operational standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, people development and creating an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute hiring strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Work closely with management to understand staffing needs and workforce planning.
Build and maintain a talent pipeline for key positions.
Oversee and enhance the onboarding experience for new hires.
Ensure all employees receive proper inductions, training and integration into the company culture.
Develop and implement onboarding programs that set new hires up for success.
Design and deliver structured training programs for both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Ensure training materials align with brand standards and operational excellence.
Identify skill gaps and create development plans for employees at all levels.
Work with managers to create career progression pathways.
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention and satisfaction.
Act as a point of contact for employee relations and development.
Ensure all training complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching where needed.
Maintain training records and ensure consistency across locations.
Previous experience in a people-focused role within hospitality, restaurants or a similar fast-paced environment.
Strong recruitment and interviewing skills.
Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with team members at all levels.
Passion for hospitality, culture, and people development.
