CPJ Field & Company Ltd, an independent and family-owned Funeral Company is one of the oldest and most established companies in the UK. We are seeking an individual to join our team as a People Team Advisor.

As a valued member of a small and friendly team, this essential role is part-time and based at our Support Centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. Working 4 days per week (to include a Friday), this position will work closely with Senior Management proactively supporting and advising on the full remit of employee relations issues ensuring adherence to company policy and current UK employment legislation. The role will liaise with external employment advisors and support our teams with end-to-end recruitment across the organisation.

The successful candidate will implement, develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring all administrative processes are completed in a timely and efficient manner ensuring confidentiality at all times. This includes disciplinaries, grievances, sickness and absence management as well as maternity, flexible working, resignations and pension queries. Representing the People team at meetings, giving briefings and updates form an essential part of this role together with providing a full range of administrative support to the People Team Manager. This position will manage the end-to end recruitment process for a wide range of roles across the business and partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and selection processes.

The successful candidate will be professional, confident, and friendly with outstanding communication and administrative skills. CIPD level 3 qualified (or part-qualified) with a comprehensive understanding of UK employment legislation and proven experience of working in a busy HR team, we are looking for an individual with strong time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to build strong relationships and adapt to a changing environment. Travel to multiple sites across the business is essential to this position, therefore a full driving licence is required.
