Birdie Care Services Limited is seeking a People & Talent Operations Partner to own day-to-day hiring and people processes, delivering a fast, high-quality experience for candidates and Birdie alike. You’ll be the first friendly face for many applicants and a trusted partner across the business.
You’ll manage end-to-end hiring, onboarding, office logistics in London, and collaboration with Finance for payroll and benefits, while driving process improvements and exploring AI-assisted solutions.
At Birdie, we're reimagining care for older adults. We're building the technology that powers the future of home healthcare, empowering care teams with tools to deliver better, more dignified care, and enabling older people to thrive in their own homes for longer. Our all-in-one solution powers millions of care visits every month, equipping care providers with the tools they need to deliver exceptional, efficient care.
We're not here to tinker at the edges. We're here to radically transform a broken system.
That's why we've built an all-in-one platform that supported over 60 million care visits and enabled care for 116,000 individuals in 2025, and we continue to grow our impact. We're scaling fast, but staying true to our purpose. That's why we're proud to be a B Corp, using business as a force for good.
Founded in 2017, Birdie is backed by world-class investors like Index Ventures, Sofina and Omers. In 2023, we ranked #6 in the Deloitte Fast 50, making us one of the fastest-growing tech companies in the UK.
But speed isn't the point. Impact is.
As our People & Talent Operations Partner, your mission is to own the day to day execution of hiring and people processes at Birdie, giving every candidate and every Birdie a fast, well run, high quality experience. For many candidates you’ll be the first person they meet at Birdie and the friendly face of the company throughout their time with us.
Own end to end sourcing and screening across all open roles, building strong pipelines and keeping candidates engaged throughout
Run candidate scheduling, communications and offer admin, making sure every candidate has a smooth, well informed experience
Keep our ATS and HRIS clean and accurate, so People data is always trustworthy
Manage onboarding and offboarding, people ops letters and contracts, setting new joiners and leavers up for a smooth transition
Help with the logistics of running our London office, acting as the main point of contact for the building
Plan and deliver socials and whole company events, in collaboration with your team
Be a first point of contact for day to day people queries and preboarding, helping Birdies get quick, accurate answers
Work cross-functionally with the Finance team on operations for our payroll and benefits
Spot and act on opportunities to improve our hiring and people processes, documentation and self-serve tools, so things get easier over time.
You've run full-cycle hiring processes independently, whether in a small team, a small company, or for high volume junior roles. Or you may have owned hiring operations in a larger team, taking ownership for candidate experience and seamless processes
You have experience sourcing for hard-to-find candidates, and know your way around LinkedIn recruiter
You've managed candidate communications and a good volume of scheduling, and know what a smooth candidate journey looks like
You’ve used HR and hiring software (we use Ashby and HiBob, but experience with any similar tools will be useful!)
You've worked directly with hiring managers and stakeholders to keep a process aligned and moving
You're highly organised and comfortable running multiple things at once without dropping the ball
You take ownership of your work and take the initiative to run with a project: you don't need close oversight to get things done
You look for ways to make processes better, including having some curiosity for how AI can help
You're adaptable, and excited by the chance to build skills beyond your core background. Throughout the year, the balance of talent and people work will vary and you’re comfortable with that variability.
Imposter syndrome is real - and we don't expect you to tick every box. If you're excited about our mission and think you could make a difference here, we want to hear from you.
We believe people do their best work when they're supported, trusted and inspired. Here's how we build a world-class employee experience:
