TfGM Greater Manchester (Piccadilly Place) is seeking a People Systems and Data Analyst to turn workforce data into clear insights. You will build reports, dashboards and datasets using Excel, Power Query and Power BI, while supporting data quality and system improvements across the People team.

In this role, you’ll analyse complex workforce and people data from a range of systems, including HR, recruitment, payroll, absence, establishment and workforce planning sources. You’ll develop and maintain reports, dashboards and datasets, using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power BI and people-related systems. You’ll also support data quality, system improvements, testing and reporting processes, providing clear and accessible insight to help managers and stakeholders understand trends, risks, opportunities and future workforce needs.

You’ll be part of our People directorate, working closely with colleagues in our People team, managers and stakeholders across TfGM. The team plays an important role in making sure people data is accurate, trusted and used effectively to support decisions that shape our organisation and services. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful improvements in people systems, reporting and analytics, while developing your technical knowledge and working in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You’ll bring experience of extracting, manipulating, validating and presenting data using reporting and data visualisation tools. You’ll be confident working with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements, agree outputs and explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences. A logical, systematic and innovative approach to problem-solving is important, along with strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. Experience of Power BI, Power Automate or a programming language would be helpful, but is not essential.
This role offers the chance to develop your skills in people analytics, systems and reporting while contributing to work that supports better workforce planning and decision-making across TfGM. A permanent role with a salary of £36,198 - £41,281 per annum depending on skills and experience.
