Job description

The purpose of this position is to support our supermarkets in implementing various business change activities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that clear, concise, and timely communications are delivered, helping to reduce 'pain points' in processes and improving the experience for colleagues and stores. As a trusted expert in business change, you will support major people initiatives, driving improvements and simplifying processes across the business. Location detail: This is a remote based role, working out of your nearest stores when working locally. Regular travel will be required to various stores as necessary. Business travel will follow the expenses policy regarding hotels and fuel. More About the Role: As a People Specialist - Implementation, you'll play a key role in facilitating business change within Morrisons, working closely with both operational and people teams to improve processes and deliver change effectively. Your main accountabilities will include:

  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Senior People Manager, HR Managers, Regional Managers, etc.) to understand their needs and business change requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with relevant People teams to streamline business processes related to change activity.
  • Communication: Design and deliver clear, concise, and user-friendly communications, guides, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for colleagues and stores.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify business pain points and use your initiative to develop solutions, ensuring that process improvements benefit both internal and external customers.
  • Project Management: Own and manage key projects, ensuring they are delivered within the required timeframes, meeting the desired outcomes, and creating long-term benefits for the business.
  • Customer Focus: Listen to feedback from colleagues and customers, using it to continuously improve processes and offerings. Drive the simplification of tasks to improve speed and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Change Management: Work alongside senior managers to drive ongoing business improvements, support project governance, and ensure a smooth implementation of change.
  • Key relationships: Head of People - Retail, Senior People Manager - Capability, Senior People Manager - Talent & Development, People Manager - Retail Operational Training, Regional Managers, People Specialist - Training Stores, Central Resourcing Team, Central L&D Team

  • Proven track record in delivering process improvements and managing business change.
  • Solid experience in managing projects, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in stakeholder management and influencing senior leaders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • A strong understanding of in-store working practices, Morrisons people processes, and systems.
  • Familiarity with colleague experience planning, project governance, and change methodologies.
