Job description

Are you an experienced HR Administration Team Leader or an experienced HR Administrator ready to take the next step into people leadership?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, fast-paced People Services function where you'll gain hands-on experience managing a team and developing your leadership skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You'll play a key role in ensuring a seamless colleague experience across the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to leavers while helping to refine and improve HR processes and systems as part of a growing team.

The Role

As People Services Team Leader, you'll oversee a team of 7 People Services Administrators and take ownership of delivering efficient, consistent, and high-quality HR services. You'll support your team's day-to-day workload, provide coaching and guidance, and work closely with the People Operations and Systems Leads to drive process improvements and data accuracy across HR systems.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is looking to grow their career into people management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support, and develop a small team of People Services Administrators to deliver timely and accurate HR services.

Manage workflow and service requests through a ticketing system (Halo ITSM or similar), ensuring service levels are met.

Oversee HR transactions within the HRIS (iTrent), including onboarding, contract changes, family leave, leavers, and data updates.

Monitor time and attendance processes (Kronos), ensuring data accuracy for payroll.

Process Purchase Orders and track budgets using internal costing systems.

Act as a point of escalation for complex HR administration queries.

Collaborate with colleagues across People Operations and Systems to review and enhance end-to-end processes.

About You

We're looking for someone who's hands-on, organised, and eager to step into leadership. You'll have:

Strong experience in HR administration or a shared services environment.

A good understanding of HR systems (ideally iTrent, Kronos, or similar).

Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data.

The ability to prioritise effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.

A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop others.

Knowledge of GDPR and HR compliance principles.

Leadership experience isn't essential - this role offers the support and exposure to help you grow into a confident people manager.

What You'll Gain

A genuine career development opportunity - perfect for someone looking to step up into leadership.

Exposure to market-leading HR systems and continuous improvement projects.

The chance to shape HR service delivery within a growing and evolving team.

A collaborative, ambitious, and development-focused culture.

A comprehensive benefits package and access to wellbeing, recognition, and learning initiatives.
