Job description

Job Summary

Lead and develop the people services team for Biocomposites Group, ensuring delivery of an efficient, effective and customer focused service. Support people development by applying leading practices and technology to drive continuous improvement. Develop a high performing people service that complies with regulatory requirements and audit standards across the different countries in which we operate.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality of the people services provided gives employees and candidates an excellent experience with Biocomposites.
  • Lead through a ‘hands-on’ approach, developing a high performing people service, which provides HR support.
  • Excellent management of data, administration, payroll, and advisory processes, in line with legal requirements, and Biocomposites policies and procedures across the group.
  • Lead a culture of attention to detail, compliance and accuracy, ensuring people services work with the wider HR team and group, to deliver continuous service improvement, accuracy of data and process improvements.
  • Embed the use of the HR operating system and ATS, and associated ways of working across the team to ensure the best practice is adopted, and system functionality is maximized.
  • Manage resources effectively to provide consistent high standards of service and customer satisfaction, providing mutual support across HR teams to resource peaks in demand.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key HR colleagues and stakeholders across Biocomposites, ensuring effective communication at all times.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of people advice provided, by carrying out regular checks and recordings, and following through on recommendations.
  • Act as the Data Protection champion for People Services, ensuring all activity is in line with GDPR requirements for the group.
  • Team members are developed and motivated to achieve a high standard of performance and customer service.
  • All HR information is held accurately and securely, maintained in line with relevant GDPR and cleansed in accordance with legislation and best practice.
  • To prepare monthly HR analytics and reports for the HR Director – covering a suite of HR performance metrics to provide continuous improvement.
  • Record and control HR budget expenditure VS plan and associated PO’s.
  • Develop, implement and monitor a people services operating plan.
Experience
  • Educated to level 4 (A level or equivalent)
  • Ideally CIPD qualified to level 7
  • Proven experience of leading and motivating teams
  • Experience of identifying and driving through continuous improvement
  • Proven experience of developing and maintaining a customer focused service
  • Proven general people experience and sound knowledge of employment law and best practice
  • Working knowledge of GDPR
  • Excellent knowledge of microsoft packages
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and case management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends and implement solutions in order to drive process improvement.
  • The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, based in Keele for minimum 3 days per week on site
