Job description

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for a People Services Compliance & Workflow Consultant to join our dynamic People Services team in Bolton on a full-time permanent basis. This newly created role offers you the chance to make a real impact by working collaboratively across our teams to streamline and enhance our operational processes. You'll play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory audit requirements in SCALA, while efficiently managing workflows in MyWorkday to ensure our customers receive timely responses. In addition, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of our People Services outputs and identifying opportunities for training and upskilling. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:
Audit & Compliance
  • Support department-wide audits with a 12-month plan in collaboration with GIA, Internal Audit, and KPMG.
  • Conduct call audits and ensure quality responses and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage the complaints process, self-audits, and GDPR data breaches.
  • Promote departmental learning through e-learning and serve as the compliance liaison for People Services.
Workflow
  • Triage and allocate cases in the HELP system while linking services to SOPs.
  • Handle exception reporting, generate MyWorkday reports, and configure R drive for best practices.
  • Scope digitalisation and AI initiatives to meet future technological needs.
  • Establish a structured working framework with weekly/monthly reporting packs and SOP updates.
  • Organise Town Hall meetings and maintain the People Services Route Map.
Customer
  • Lead focus groups and manage stakeholder reviews to enhance customer engagement.
  • Support change management activities as required.

What you’ll bring:
  • Previous experience within HR compliance together with an understanding of internal and external audits.
  • Skilled in dashboard reporting and data visualisation.
  • Sound understanding of Data Protection principles and associated risks.
  • Demonstrates risk awareness and understands the impact of risks.
  • Experience in implementing service and process improvements.
  • Proven experience in managing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Computer literate with a good grasp of IT tools and Microsoft applications, showing accuracy and efficiency in updating HR systems.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act, FCA Regulations, SM&CR, Right to Work, and Home Office Systems would be advantageous.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
