Salary: £65,380 - £72,650

Locations: Halifax, Bristol, Edinburgh or Leeds

Hours: Full Time

Working Pattern: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

Job Description

Join the People & Places (P&P) Control Office, where an exciting opportunity exists to be part of a new team focused on P&P Control optimisation and automation journey. This prominent role involves providing insightful analysis and evaluation of the control environment to safeguard the business, identify inefficiencies, and drive automation for an optimized control environment.

You will work with control specialist leadership to support the next phase of transformation for Lloyds Banking Group.

We seek an individual who innovates to accelerate processes, takes ownership of challenging existing procedures, embraces technology, fosters rapport, and encourages diverse thinking. A growth mindset and openness to new experiences are essential.

Accountabilities
  1. Collaborate with the Senior Manager on the P&P control automation journey, identifying opportunities and gaps for automation.
  2. Work with platform teams to design, build, and deliver automation solutions.
  3. Communicate automation review schedules and methodologies to stakeholders.
  4. Champion control automation deep dives with business partners.
  5. Assist risk and control teams to meet strategic outcomes.
  6. Analyze control environment efficiency and assess potential impacts.
  7. Support development and implementation of control strategies.
  8. Lead control testing and supervise a small team.
  9. Develop control tooling solutions for environment optimization.
  10. Report on control effectiveness and compliance, ensuring data quality.
  11. Manage actions on operational risk events and breaches, and suggest improvements.
  12. Monitor progress via dashboards for the P&P Risk Committee.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in control by design, control strategy implementation, and testing control effectiveness.
  • Ability to interpret data and develop analytical processes for reporting.
  • Expertise in crafting effective performance and progression reports.
  • Strong communication skills to support and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Experience with process mapping, automation, and control landscape optimization.
