About the role

We are seeking a talented People and Performance (P&P) Advisor to join our Palmerston North office. Reporting to the P&P Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to our people leaders, providing expert guidance on various people matters and supporting the implementation of effective people strategies that enhance operational capability and align with our strategic goals.

This role is a true generalist position, involving active participation across the full employee lifecycle. You will engage in exciting projects focusing on leadership development, well-being initiatives, employment branding, engagement, recognition, talent retention, process improvement, and more. Your work will have a meaningful impact on our people’s lives by researching and applying best practices to deliver unified people and performance solutions.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • At least 3 years of experience in an HR/People and Performance role with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of core P&P processes such as performance management, talent management, and ER, and how they influence business performance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
  • Ability to analyze information from various sources, identify issues, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience managing projects through their full lifecycle, maintaining progress and deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and credibility with stakeholders.
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with various technology systems.
