Job description

The HR Business Partner role is central to Bristol Bakery's success—supporting the manufacturing operations and collaborating closely with the Site Leader and leadership team. You will be part of a dedicated HR team on site, including an HR Advisor and a Learning & Development Manager, reporting to the Lead People Partner for Manufacturing.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching, influencing, and balancing immediate priorities with strategic thinking. The focus is on developing leadership capability, strengthening engagement, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

  1. Partner with senior management to implement and execute the Lead for Growth strategy and key people processes, including performance coaching to develop talent, simplify organizations, and enhance engagement.
  2. Develop and implement People Plans and initiatives aligned with business goals to improve people capability and performance indicators.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance on People matters, bringing expertise and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  4. Ensure a positive employee experience aligned with the employer of choice ethos and Bristol Bakery values.
  5. Drive empowerment and self-service capabilities, collaborating with People Services, Resourcing, and Advisor teams for timely support.
  6. Represent the voice of the internal customer to ensure central initiatives are fit for purpose and effectively implemented.
  7. Maintain own continuous professional development (CPD), share knowledge, and encourage team development.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven HR/People business partner experience within FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or Distribution environments.
  • Senior HR/People generalist with leadership and coaching experience.
  • Experience leading and supporting change initiatives.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions and colleague forums at a site level.
  • Broad and deep HR knowledge, regarded as a trusted advisor by senior colleagues and leadership.
