Base pay range

Salary- up to £60,000

Work-pattern- Full time, Permanent- Monday to Friday, 40 hrs per week

Reporting to- Head of People

This role is fully remote however we do require flexibility to travel to London for People team meetings occasionally.

In this dynamic position, you’ll be at the heart of driving our People Roadmap, championing employee engagement, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. You will coach and support the People team to deliver people operations excellence, as well as providing guidance and development opportunities. You won’t just support the People leadership team – you’ll help shape it.

What you will do
People Partnering
  • Lead, coach and support the team to deliver people operations excellence, as well as, providing guidance and development opportunities. Partner with relevant business areas supporting the full employee life cycle.
  • Support managers to identify the right structure for their teams and to help shape their People Plans.
  • Implement new and enhance People policies, ensuring alignment with employment legislation and industry best practices.
  • Ensure fair, consistent and transparent Employee Relations processes are managed within legal frameworks.
  • Support with reporting of People metrics and utilise people data analytics to spot trends, measure impact and inform decision making.
  • Drive and implement the Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) process.
  • Support the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Support the Pay & Bonus reviews and Salary Benchmarking processes.
Talent and Onboarding
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate the Compliance & TA teams to ensure seamless recruiting and onboarding experiences.
  • Work with the Engagement Manager to drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Learning and Development
  • Design and deliver training and development initiatives.
  • Identify and align development needs and opportunities with managers.
HR Projects / CI
  • Lead / Partner on People projects working to develop and recognise our teams; improve employee experience; and enhance our culture. Educating employees and managers on interpretation and application of initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives that promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Wellbeing and a positive workplace culture.
  • Support with our reward and recognition proposition.
What you will bring to the role
  • Proven HR expertise in a People Business Partner or HR Manager role, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment such as a start-up or scale-up.
  • Leadership experience – whether you’ve led a team or mentored others, you bring a supportive, coaching-led approach that helps people thrive.
  • Confident handling of complex ER matters across large teams, with hands-on experience managing investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues from start to finish.
  • Trusted advisor status – you know how to build strong relationships across the business, using your coaching, collaboration, and influencing skills to support and guide effectively.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with a natural ability to connect with people at all levels and drive improvements in how we work.
  • A keen eye for spotting opportunities to streamline processes and implement meaningful, positive change.
  • The ability to balance day-to-day delivery with strategic thinking – you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves as you are leading long-term initiatives.
  • A genuine passion for role-modelling inclusivity and equity, helping to create a workplace where everyone can be their best selves.
  • Confidence in using data to inform decisions and drive change.
  • Comfortable navigating Microsoft tools and quick to adapt to new systems and technologies.
Nice to haves
  • Experience working alongside Clinical stakeholder groups and/or within a technology-driven company.
