Role Overview

The Inn Collection Group is committed to being a best-in-class hospitality employer. The People Partner role is to drive the people plan within their relevant region to deliver key business results through the recruitment, retention, and development of high-performing teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a dedicated business region(s) to help shape and implement effective People solutions to deliver the achievement of business results.
  • Influence, facilitate, and consult, ensuring the people plan is both relevant and effective.
  • Advise and coach on key talent recruitment, onboarding, induction, and succession planning.
  • Conduct, support, and advise on the appropriate processes including capability, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, redundancy, and dismissal.
  • Drive a culture of high-performing teams, including high engagement and performance management.
  • Be a coach, a supportive self-starter, and able to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

People Talent

  • Advise, coach, and/or conduct recruitment for key roles within the business region(s) following the agreed approach.
  • Support and drive fit-for-peak and re-opening resourcing, reviewing and providing feedback on the plan with the Talent team.
  • Contribute to, promote, and ensure delivery of management onboarding and induction within the region, holding managers to account.
  • Promote and engage talent into leadership/development programs such as LIB, LIO, Chef Academy, Sous Chef development. Implement monthly 1:1s, evaluating site performance, coaching managers for success to drive business KPIs.
  • Work with Regional Ops Director/Head of Talent to plan succession within business area(s).
  • Deliver ad hoc/bitesize training on key people skills.

Engagement

  • Facilitate the Engagement Survey process, ensuring key communication, timelines, and build are in place.
  • Drive engagement response rates and scores within region(s).
  • Analyze and understand data, effectively communicating results to key stakeholders.
  • Actively promote and keep alive the Company action plan.
  • Maintain site, hub, and regional action plans—holding partners accountable for delivery, reviewing, and adapting as necessary.
  • Drive Communication Champion meetings to support action planning and engagement.

Employee Relations

  • Be the ER expert for key stakeholders within region(s).
  • Manage ER cases, balancing employment law, morale principles, and commercial needs.
  • Ensure all cases are tracked, saved, and lessons are learned via case management.
  • Work with sites to ensure they are trained to deal with ER cases.
  • Support manager accountability to address low-level issues (e.g., absence, conduct, performance management).
  • Support sites with ER letters and note-taking where required.

Other

  • Provide advice, training, and development to colleagues regarding company policies and employment legislation.
  • Keep up to date with employment/market changes, writing and reviewing people policies as needed.
  • Own people compliance for your region(s), such as right to work, minimum wage, working time directive.
  • Manage and utilize all People systems and data, emphasizing key people data KPIs, understanding the correlation between people metrics and business performance. Analyze and challenge the data.
  • Understand and manage pay and benefits approaches, advising on market changes, benchmarking, negotiating, and advising.
  • Deliver key initiatives such as Wellbeing Strategy, System launches, DEI, Recognition as per people plan.
  • Be an ambassador of the ICG culture and ways of working.
