The Role

As a People Partner at Runa, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we support, develop, and empower our people. Working closely with teams across Engineering, Product & Design, and Finance, you’ll help create the conditions for high performance, growth, and engagement, not just for leaders and managers, but for every individual within those teams.

This role blends strategy and action, you’ll shape big-picture initiatives that influence how we grow as a company, while taking full ownership to make an impact day to day. With the freedom to experiment, challenge, and evolve how we approach performance, development, and culture, you’ll help make Runa a place where every person can do their best work.

Responsibilities
  • Providing thoughtful, pragmatic guidance that helps teams do their best work, handling employee relations matters with fairness, care, and a healthy dose of commercial sense.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to keep feedback flowing, progression visible, and recognition genuine, using data to spot trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
  • Contributing to initiatives across compensation, retention, learning & development, and DEI, weaving inclusivity and engagement into everything we do.
  • Building trusted relationships with leaders and teams alike, acting as a thought partner who connects people team priorities with business impact.
  • Championing ideas and initiatives that make Runa an even better place to work, bringing our values to life and helping our culture evolve as we grow.
  • Collaborating with People Operations to keep our people processes running smoothly and efficiently, making sure they work for both the business and the people who power it.
Requirements
  • Experienced as a People Partner, ideally within dynamic, scaling tech environments.
  • You have strong employee relations knowledge and guide fair, thoughtful outcomes around performance and the employee lifecycle.
  • Skilled at using data and insights to drive improvements in performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Able to balance people priorities with business goals, adapting with pragmatism and curiosity.
  • You take ownership, drive initiatives forward, and bring creative, practical solutions that make a measurable difference.
  • Naturally collaborative, you connect across People Ops, Talent, and business teams to create a seamless employee experience.

  • We have a hybrid structure with the requirement of 2 days a week at our London Office (Shoreditch)
  • £1,000 annual L&D allowance to invest in mastering your craft, including accredited studies. Plus 5 L&D days per year

  • Summer Hours - In the month of August, we log off at 3pm on Fridays.
