Our People Operations team is growing, and we are looking for a People Partner to join us and provide impactful, high-quality strategic service to your business area. You will ensure actions are aligned with our policies and cultural values, drive achievement of commercial business objectives, and meet customer needs.

Key roles and responsibilities

  1. Deliver an impactful People Partnering Service
  2. Provide a strategic People Partnering service focused on impactful contribution and value-adding activities that underpin business strategy and goals, including change management, improving absence and attrition, talent spotting, performance management, and collaboration with talent acquisition and development.
  3. Design and develop strategic People Plans aligned with business and corporate priorities.
  4. Collaborate with the People Partnering network & People Services Centres of Excellence to ensure an integrated approach supporting your business area.
  5. Offer expert consultancy to support and accelerate achievement of business plans by addressing people-related challenges, risks, barriers, and gaps.
  6. Continuously develop personal skills and capabilities, and support stakeholders in implementing performance management strategies.
  7. Assist your business area in improving employee engagement, morale, retention, productivity, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships

  1. Build and maintain relationships with leaders and stakeholders to become a trusted partner.
  2. Demonstrate credibility to enhance stakeholder confidence, providing a platform for consultation, advice, and influence on impactful change and improvements.
  3. Understand the stakeholder business areas and support the delivery of their objectives from a people perspective.
  4. Act as an ambassador for the People Services function, embedding Admiral’s culture and values, including the four pillars of Communication, Equality, Reward and Recognition, and Fun.

Provide Insight

  1. Utilize data, metrics, and insights to develop proposals that support local and organizational goals.
  2. Use people data to make informed decisions and forecast future business needs and trends.

Skills and Experience we are looking for

  • Experience in a demanding, fast-paced generalist HR role.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law and current HR best practices, trends, and changes.
  • Experience managing projects, change initiatives, and acting as a change champion.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives.
  • People management skills, including coaching and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Alignment with Admiral’s values, demonstrating kindness and fairness.
  • Proactive, emotionally resilient, and capable of motivating others.
  • Emotionally intelligent with adaptable communication styles.
  • Diplomatic, tactful, and able to ask effective questions.
  • Confident decision-making and justification skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver results.
  • BP model background (not essential).
  • Chartered CIPD or equivalent (not essential).
